A Brand-New Brunch & Lunch Spot Breakfast-Lovers Will Adore

By Hannah Rivera, Publisher and Editor November 28, 2025

Lexington’s dining scene just got a little more delicious this fall thanks to the arrival of Cafe Patachou. The Indiana-based, all-day café — known for its elevated take on breakfast and lunch — officially opened its first Kentucky location at The Summit at Fritz Farm.

Cafe Patachou invites locals and visitors alike to enjoy menu favorites like French omelettes, croissant French toast, chilaquiles, and their signature Cinnamon Toast. For lunch, expect offerings such as soups (their tomato-artichoke is already a fan favorite), salads, fresh sandwiches, and other hearty dishes — plus a kids’ menu, bakery treats, and grab-and-go options for busy days.

If you love a good brunch beverage, you’re in luck: Cafe Patachou also serves coffee, tea, and for adults — beer, wine, and brunch-style cocktails like mimosas and Bloody Marys.

I stopped in last week for a sandwich at noon and sat at the bar. I was met with the friendliest staff and the turkey club was to die for (be sure to opt for the homemade sourdough). There was a great mix of friends, families, and remote workers on their laptops, all enjoying the scenery and yummy food.

🍴 What Makes It Family-Friendly & Community-Focused

  • Approachable & colorful food – The menu includes dishes that appeal to kids (think toast, simple eggs, comforting soups) alongside more adventurous or grown-up options, making it a win for every family member.
  • Bakery treats & grab-and-go items – On busy school mornings or post-shopping trips at Fritz Farm, it’s great to grab pastries, fresh bread, or a quick lunch that keeps everyone happy.
  • Casual “all-day café” vibe – Whether you’re stopping by after a swim, before errands, or on a weekend out with kids, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming — not rushed.

Because of its location at The Summit at Fritz Farm, Cafe Patachou is also a convenient stop for families combining dining with shopping, errands, or a fun outing. The mix of accessibility (parking, stroller-friendly layout) and flexible meal times makes it especially handy for busy families.

📅 When & Where to Go

  • Location: 4040 Finn Way, Suite 110, at The Summit at Fritz Farm.
  • Hours:
    • Monday–Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
    • Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Tip: On weekends, it’s wise to go early (especially for brunch) — things tend to get busy! Because Cafe Patachou operates on a “walk-in only” basis, there can be waits during peak times. But they recommend grabbing a coffee and wandering the shops while you wait.
